Marigold 8000 Packing is a very high quality, specialised grade of pump and valve packing that has been braided from nuclear grade graphite filament. Designed to meet the extreme pressure and temperature requirements associated with nuclear applications, Marigold 8000 has an extremely low coefficient of friction coupled with very high thermal conductivity.
The base nuclear grade graphite used in Marigold 8000 Packing is interlock braided and coated with a proprietary graphite blend. The result is a packing that stays flexible and resists fraying when cut which allows for easy installation.
Utilised in applications with a pH of 0-14, Marigold 8000 Packing also exhibits excellent temperature resistance. In air applications, it is used in environments up to 455ºC, in steam up to 649ºC and in non-oxidising atmospheres up to 3315ºC.
This premium grade of versatile packing is employed in valves, centrifugal pumps, rotary pumps and reciprocating pumps.

Available Sizes
It is available from AG in standard sizes that range from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm² and can be supplied either by the metre or in preformed packing rings for simple, labour-saving installation.
