Feinmicaglas 2596 is manufactured from a combination of high quality mica paper combined with a finely woven glass cloth carrier and a specially modified, flexible synthetic resin binder. Tapes manufactured from Feinmicaglas 2596 are incredibly flexible which allows them to be tightly applied to tight turns and complex shapes. Conductors and endwindings insulated with this material can be shaped and formed afterwards without mechanical damage being caused to the tape.

Feinmicaglas 2596 End Winding Insulation Tape is primarily used for the insulation of single conductors, armature conductors and overhangs on traction motors and DC machines as well as for endwinding insulation on high voltage electric motors and generators. It is a Class F (155ºC) rated material which is available in both 0.08mm and 0.11mm thick.

Feinmicaglas 2596 End Winding Insulation is often sought in tape form. Standard roll widths are 15mm, 20mm and 25mm though other custom sizes can be slit by AG to match your requirements. This material is also available either by the metre or in full log roll form. A log roll of Feinmicaglas 2596 measures 1000mm wide and is 50mtrs long.
