Calmica 0867 is manufactured from a layer of uncalcined mica paper which is impregnated with a b-stage epoxy resin and bonded to a PET film carrier. Supplied without interleave, this resin rich tape offers good workability and excellent dielectric strength as a result of its use of a polyester carrier.

Typically used for the insulation of bars and coils on high voltage motors and generators with an operating temperature classification of 155ºC, the resin in Calmica 0867 will flow under temperature and pressure to take up any voids in surrounding insulation.
