C4408 gasket material  is a general purpose, high strength gasket sheet designed for high pressure sealing applications. Manufactured from aramid fibres that are bound with NBR, C4408 is reinforced with wire for extra strength. This universal high strength material is still quite economical to use and displays good resistance to oils, water, steam, gases, fuels, alcohols, hydrocarbons, lubricants and refrigerants.

Green on both sides, C4408 is typically used in relatively low operating temperatures (usually under 180ºC, though maximum temperature does depend on pressure, medium and application) which require a material capable of sealing effectively at high pressures.

AG offers our C4408 gasket material in standard sheets measuring 2000mm / 1500mm with part sheets readily available and extra large sheets also available upon request. Standard thicknesses are:
