AMA Insulation is a high-performance Class F (155°C) electrical insulation laminate engineered for demanding motor and electrical equipment applications.

This three-layer composite construction consists of:

• Polyester (PET) film core

• Aramid insulating paper laminated on both sides

The combination delivers exceptional dielectric strength, thermal stability and mechanical durability, making AMA insulation ideal for slot insulation, phase insulation and electrical gaskets in low-voltage motors and electrical tools.

AMA provides a more economical alternative to traditional NMN (Nomex® Mylar® Nomex®) insulation laminates while maintaining excellent electrical and thermal performance.

Construction

The AMA Laminate Structure consisting of Aramid Paper / PET Film / Aramid Paper combines the dielectric strength of polyester film with the thermal resistance and mechanical strength of aramid paper, providing balanced tensile performance in both the machine direction (MD) and the transverse direction (TD).

This composite structure provides increased cohesiveness resulting in a material that will not delaminate or blister under normal conditions.
