Epoxy Minute Adhesive is a fast curing, transparent adhesive used for creating extremely strong bonds between a wide range of different materials. Manufactured from a specialised unfilled epoxy resin, this premium adhesive is supplied in an easy to use double syringe pack that ensures the correct mixing ratio (1:1) is dispensed.
Weicon Epoxy Minute Adhesive has a very short shelf life (approximately 3-4 minutes) and reaches handling strength (35% strength) after about 35 minutes (at 20ºC). This viscid, self-levelling adhesive is typically used for creating strong, permanent bonds between a variety of different material types.
Weicon Epoxy Minute Adhesive is used covering gaps between 0.2mm and 2mm and, once cured, has a hardness of approximately 65 Shore D and withstands temperatures between -50ºC and 80ºC. The cured product has good residual elasticity for maintaining a bond between shifting surfaces and exhibits high impact strength.

* Except for plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyacetal, polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) and other fluorinated hydrocarbons with naturally adhesive rejecting surfaces. Within the framework of the above types recommendations, bonding of dissimilar materials pairs (such as metals and hard plastics) is possible.
Available Sizes
Weicon Epoxy Minute Adhesive is available from Associated Gaskets in 24ml double syringe packs. Each pack is supplied with one Quadro Mixing Nozzle though extras are also available from AG.
Pre-Treatment of Surface
To ensure good adhesion and a long lasting bond, the surfaces being adhered to must be clean and dry (Weicon Cleaner S or Plastic Cleaner may be suitable for cleaning and degreasing these). Smooth surfaces should be roughened where possible.
Application
Weicon Epoxy Minute Adhesive should be applied to just one of the surfaces being bonded. The pot life given for this adhesive is for 10ml at a room temperature of 20ºC. If larger quantities are used, the curing time will be faster due to the reaction epoxy resins have with heat. Similarly, higher ambient temperatures will shorten the cure time (a rule of thumb here is that every addition 10ºC increase above room temperature will halve working and cure times).
