RMW Medium Wall Heat Shrink Sleeving
RMW Heat Shrink Sleeving is a high quality electrical insulation sleeve with a 3.5:1 shrink ratio (meaning a 40mm ID tube will shrink to 12mm). This grade has approximately twice the wall thickness of our SCG Thin Wall Heat Shrink Sleeving which allows it to offer high dielectric strength (20kV/mm) as well as good physical protection of insulated items.
RMW Medium Wall Heat Shrink is light weight and flexible and also shows high resistance to decay, a range of chemicals, copper corrosion and ultra violet rays. It is used in applications with operating temperatures between -55ºC and 110ºC and is ROHS Compliant. This sleeving will begin to shrink at 90ºC.
RMW Medium Wall Heat Shrink is typically employed in medium voltage electrical applications for wire harnessing and the bundling of cables. It can also be utilised for forming a waterproof barrier and environmental seal for electrical application as well as an alternative to moulded parts for cable joins and breakouts. The high shrink ratio of RMW Heat Shrink ensures that cables and connectors of various sizes are insulated and bound tightly.
AG offers RMW Heat Shrink Sleeving in both spools and cut lengths (1.2mtrs long, as standard). Available sizes for both begin at 12mm ID and range through to 130mm ID. Standard colour is black though others can be produced if required. RMW heat shrink sleeving is available with or without hot melt adhesive applied to the inside of the tube.
