AG’s Presspahn Transformer Paper is a low cost electrical insulation material utilised for its excellent mechanical strength (especially in the longitudinal direction) and good absorption characteristics. This material is manufactured from cellulose fibres which has been calendered so that it is smooth on both sides.

Utilised in 105ºC rated (Class A) electrical applications, AG’s Presspahn transformer paper has a density of between 1.1 and 1.25 g/cm³ and can be flexed, rolled and shaped (the ease with which this is done depends on the thickness, though all are flexible).

AG offers our Presspahn transformer paper in standard rolls measuring 1000mm wide. Standard thicknesses range are 0.13mm, 0.25mm, 0.38mm and 0.5mm. This material can be supplied by the roll, metre, kilogram or in cut component form. We’ll be happy to assist with the production and supply of custom sized components, strips, or rolls which can assist with minimising labour costs and material wastage.

AG typically uses the name Presspahn Transformer Paper to describe product under 0.8mm thick. This distinction is necessary as there is otherwise a great deal of similarity between our transformer board and our Presspahn transformer paper.
