Petro Tape ST (Standard Temperature) is our general-purpose grade of corrosion protection tape designed to protect pipe and fittings from corrosion over a long service life. Manufactured from a non-woven polyester fabric which is fully impregnated and saturated with a petrolatum compound, Petro Tape is then blended with inert fillers, corrosion inhibitors and a wide spectrum biocide.

This quality tape is highly economical and can be used in a wide variety of application environments. It is suited for protecting above ground, below ground and submerged pipe and fittings as well as for protecting tie rods, starter bars whilst also being a potential slipform release tape or roof sheet isolation tape. Petro Tape ST exhibits resistance to acids, alkalis and bacteria and will not polymerise, or oxidise. Its non-hardening properties allow Petro Tape ST to accommodate both vibration and movement of the protected pipe or fittings.

Utilised in applications with temperatures ranging from -10ºC to 50ºC, Petro Tape ST has a listed service life of over 30 years. There is no curing of this product which allows for immediate application and it is free of solvents which allows it to be used in hazardous areas. AG offers this quality protection tape in 10mtr long rolls as standard with standard widths ranging from 50mm to 300mm.
