Neoprene Sponge Rubber CR160 is a closed cell neoprene foam material that is airtight and waterproof. This high-quality sponge rubber displays excellent resistance to oils, solvents and many chemicals. The material is self-extinguishing (conforms to UL-94HF-1) and is also very resistant to aging.
Neoprene Sponge Rubber CR160’s highly consistent cell structure and thickness (with no voids or inclusions) has seen it used extensively in the automotive industry in applications up to 80°C as it is ideally suited to the stringent tolerances often required. The sponge is also commonly used as cushioning, for insulation or wherever a watertight seal is required.
