Kapton HN is a very high quality film with outstanding temperature resistance and electrical insulation performance. Manufactured by DuPont™, Kapton® HN is perhaps the most popular of the various grades of Kapton® film as it offers an excellent balance of high performance in a number of key areas; not least of which is affordability.
Kapton® HN is a tough, aromatic polyimide film which has been successfully used in applications where temperatures are as low as -269ºC or as high as 400ºC. Kapton® HN film can be laminated, metalized, punched, formed or adhesive coated and is available in a number of different thicknesses, shapes and sizes.
This high voltage electrical insulation material meets the requirements of ASTM D-5213 (type 1, item A) and MIL-P-46112 B as well as a number of other globally recognised standards.

Kapton® HN is available by the roll, metre or in slit tape or cut component form from Associated Gaskets. Roll length varies by thicknesses.
We’re pleased to offer a full conversion service for our Kapton® HN. Our in-house slitting, knife cutting, sewing, kiss cutting, die cutting and water cutting facilities allow us to offer slit Kapton® HN tape or precision cut Kapton® HN components in whatever size you require.
