Isopreg EP 2047

Material AG000150S01 Category

Isopreg EP 2047

A dry insulation material that can be laminated under pressure and temperature to form rigid moulded parts.

This highly flexible material is often used for the production of moulded parts or can be pressed onto other components that require insulation.

Isopreg EP 2047 is a specialised grade of flexible electrical insulation that can be used for forming rigid insulation components. This precision engineered material is manufactured from E-glass cloth that is impregnated with a special epoxy resin in B-stage.

Isopreg EP 2047 is a dry insulation material that can be laminated under pressure and temperature to form rigid moulded parts. Once cured, Isopreg EP 2047 is employed in 180ºC electrical applications and exhibits good resistance to attack from oil, solvents and water.

This highly flexible material is often used for the production of moulded parts such as insulating channels, tubes or cylinders and can also be directly pressed onto other rigid parts that require insulation (though processing conditions may need to be altered to facilitate this).

Given its versatility, Isopreg EP 2047 often represents and economical and faster alternative to having specialised components moulded or machined. It is also excellent for building up the size of other components that may have been worn down through service.

Available Sizes

Isopreg EP 2047 is available in 0.12mm, 0.23mm, 0.26mm and 0.35mm thick grades. This material is typically offered by the roll or metre (roll widths vary slightly depending on thicknesses selected but all are over 1000mm) though it can also be provided in cut components or slit tape form when required.
