Brown Statite Gasket Material
AG’s Brown Statite, as the name suggests, is a brown gasket material which offers incredibly economical sealing performance in a range of low temperature and low pressure applications. Manufactured from cellulose fibres, this soft material can be easily cut and has good adaption properties.
Brown Statite Gasket Material is typically used in applications where temperatures will reach no more than 120ºC (this can vary depending on operating conditions) such as for sealing in gearboxes, carburettors and fuel pumps. It displays good compatibility with a range of oils and fuels and can be used to effect a seal at lower compression loads than many compressed fibre materials.
Brown Statite is a soft material that can be used with low bolt loads, narrow flange faces. Despite this versatility, it’s mainly selected when a low cost, general purpose gasket material is required.
AG’s extensive water cutting, knife cutting and press capabilities mean that we’re able to produce accurate gaskets from this very economical gasket material with little set up and no minimum order quantity.
Standard Thicknesses of Brown Statite include:
This material is available in rolls which measure 1000mm wide and can be provided by the roll, metre or in cut component form. Full rolls vary in length according to the material thickness.
