Offering high strength and excellent resistance to abrasion, AG’s Aramid Insulation Cloth is an excellent option for applications that require a tough, insulating material capable of service in elevated temperatures. Manufactured from aramid fibres over a fibreglass core, Aramid cloth is utilised in applications ranging from -46ºC through to 340ºC.

Produced under the generic name of aramid cloth, this high strength thermal insulation fabric is remarkably similar to Kevlar®.

This highly flexible material also offers good mildew and chemical resistance, though the base fabric is UV sensitive. Stocked in its natural yellow colour as standard, AG can also offer Norfab Aramid Insulation Cloth with specialised coatings such as silicone or Viton rubber, aluminium foil or graphite.

The combination of strength, abrasion resistance, flexibility and insulation performance has led to AG employing aramid insulation cloth for use in a wide range of demanding applications. These include; gaskets & seals, pipe lagging, personnel protection, heat shields, flange and valve covers, expansion joints and robot arm sleeves.

AG stocks our aramid insulation cloth in a number of different thicknesses, can supply by the metre or roll whilst also utilising our extensive experience, and specialised facilities to offer customised cut, sewn, shaped and fabricated components to match your specific application.
