51587 Adhesive Polyester Tape is manufactured from a 0.025mm thick layer of polyester film (total tape thickness is 0.056mm) combined with a rubber thermosetting adhesive. 51587 is a tough, thin and highly conformable adhesive electrical insulation tape which can be thermoset in application to increase its ability to withstand attack from industrial solvents.

The polyester film backing used for 51587 tape is highly resistant to abrasion and provides the tape with good dielectric properties.

51587 Polyester Tape is a versatile, economical electrical insulation tape that is used in a variety of different applications. Some of the most common used include coil wrapping, anchoring, harnessing and holding applications though it has also been deployed as inter-layer insulation.

This easy to use and apply tape resists tearing as its rolled off as a result of its high tensile strength. Yellow in colour, this tape is supplied on 3″ plastic cores as standard.
